Frequently asked questions

Is Foco+ free?
Yes — the core features (tasks, ideas, reminders, Pomodoro, and calendar) are free. Foco+ Pro is optional and unlocks extra features. Send us an email if you have questions about a specific feature.
Will my data be saved if I switch phones?
Yes, as long as iCloud backup is enabled (see step 5 in "Getting Started" below). Your data stays in your personal iCloud, not on Foco+ servers.
How does the "Defer All" button work?
It moves all of today's incomplete tasks to tomorrow at once — useful on harder days, without losing what you already planned.
Do notifications work with the app closed?
Yes. Reminders and alerts are scheduled by the system (iOS), so they arrive on time even with Foco+ closed — as long as notifications are allowed (step 1 in "Getting Started").
Does the Pomodoro timer keep running if I leave the app?
Yes, the timer runs in the background and you get a notification when time's up.
How do I reset my XP and streak progress?
There's no direct reset button in Settings yet. Email us and we'll help manually.
Does Foco+ work on iPad?
Yes, the app is universal for iPhone and iPad (one-time purchase). Mac and Apple Vision Pro versions are also available.
How do I delete my account and data?
Foco+ doesn't have an account or a server — there's nothing to delete on our end. All your data lives only on your device (and in your personal iCloud, if backup is enabled). To erase everything, just remove the app: touch and hold the Foco+ icon on your home screen and choose "Remove App." This deletes all local data immediately.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email focoapp@icloud.com with subject "Bug Report", including your device model and iOS version.

Quick guide

⏱Pomodoro timer

Tap a preset (5, 10, 25, or 45 min) or type a custom time. Tap "Start". Get notified when it ends. The timer runs in the background.

📋Daily tasks

Type the task and press Enter to add it. Tap to complete. Swipe left to delete or defer. Use "Defer All" on tough days.

📅Calendar

Tap a day on the calendar to add an event. Set a title, time, and relevance color (green/yellow/red). Turn on a one-day-before reminder.

🔔Quick reminders

Type the reminder text, set the time, and tap "+". A local notification arrives at the exact time, even with the app closed.

💡Idea capture

Use the home screen widget for instant capture. Inside the app, open "Ideas" and tap "New Idea". Everything saves automatically.

⚡XP & streak

Every action earns XP automatically. The streak counts days with at least one completed task. Defer tasks without losing your streak.

Silences distracting apps and sites during a focus session, using iOS's Screen Time.

Noise and lo-fi generated right in the app, with sound mixing and an automatic sleep timer.

Getting started

Allow notifications

The first time you open the app, accept notifications. Without this, reminders and timer alerts won't work.

Add the home screen widget

Press and hold your iPhone's home screen > tap "+" > search "Foco+" > choose the quick capture widget.

Create your first 3 daily tasks

Don't add more than 5. Too many tasks overwhelm your focus. Start small and add more as you complete them.

Use the 25-minute Pomodoro

Pick a task, start the 25-min timer, and focus on just that. When it ends, mark it complete and earn XP.

Enable iCloud backup

Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Backup > "Back Up Now". Protects your data before switching devices.
